The Role
As a Sales Assistant/Driver, you’ll support your store team by driving sales and managing daily store operations. You’ll deliver exceptional customer service to optimise KPI performance. This role involves meeting diverse customers daily, offering more than just driving—it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile. It is hands-on, physical, and varied.
Key Responsibilities
- Our Customers are central to everything we do. In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for your store, supporting the team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
- Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting your team to meet and exceed targets through KPI focus.
- Deliver exceptional, market-leading customer service to foster business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
- Offer VIP concierge services, actively contacting customers about products and tastings.
- Share your passion for products by telling the story behind them, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of our range.
- Take ownership of your wine knowledge, continually learning to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
- Maintain the store’s appearance and cleanliness, both internally and externally.
- Participate in operational tasks such as delivering wine, merchandising stock, and contacting customers to boost sales.
- Identify and suggest improvements for store operations, collaborating with your team to implement solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, safety, and legal requirements through mandatory training.
- Exemplify Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior team members, providing feedback to your Store Manager.
- As a key holder, understand opening and closing procedures and confidently operate the store independently.
- Be willing to deliver wine around the local area if required.
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Excellent time management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and service.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently and in a team.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for resolving problems.
- Adaptability and resilience to meet changing demands.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Wine knowledge is beneficial, but a passion to learn more is essential to pass Level 2 WSET qualifications.
- A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
