Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North America, and a worldwide sales organization, SCHOTT is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.

Your Contribution

1. Supplies the draw towers with prepared cores and tubes to meet production requirements.
2. Sets up mono assemblies in accordance with the production schedule.
3. Matches the core/clad of assemblies and redraws per process specifications.
4. Washes and rinses core bars and tubes in sink as per process specification.
5. Rinses core bars and tubes with alcohol and acetone as per process specification.
6. Assembles core bars in the tubes as per process specifications.
7. Measures and records O.D., I.D., and length, transports and hangs completed assemblies in the clean booth.
8. Enters production information into SAP and the database.
9. Maintains accurate log entries in the database.
10. Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.
11. Able to meet utilization targets and standard times.
12. Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
13. Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
14. Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health, and Safety rules and procedures.

1. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
2. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
3. Self-motivated and results-oriented.
4. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
5. Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
6. Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
