We are looking to take on temporary staff to work with us at our site in Bungay across all our operational teams – Bindery, Colour, Digital and Web departments. These temporary vacancies are key to ensuring that we can meet the operational needs of the business. These roles are entry level, and no previous factory experience is required – just a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
Please note that while we are continuing to accept CVs for temporary factory workers, due to no longer being in a busy period, the volume of temporary factory workers being hired in line with business need is significantly reduced.
Role Responsibilities:- Working safely, following the safe systems of work that are in place.
- Assisting the machine minders with general duties.
- Bindery: Working on a binding line, loading our gathering machines with paper bundles, lifting equipment is provided. Feeding book block onto our casing-in machines, lifting equipment is provided.
- Colour: Gathering components such as ink, plates, etc. ready for printing presses. Providing ad hoc holiday and sickness cover as needed.
- Digital: Assisting on the binding and printing lines this includes feeding machines, loading pallets (stacking down) etc. Carrying out tasks for main operators e.g. emptying waste bins. Organise and load up lines/prep work for binding lines.
- Web: Working at the end of the line on a printing press. Ensuring all work is bundled up on to a pallet ready for transportation through to the Bindery department. Ensuring all pallets have the correct job label.
- You are hands-on, hardworking and used to manual labour.
- Happy to be flexible when required with working hours and shift patterns.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Willing to learn and take on new tasks.
- Strong team player.
