Freightserve Recruitment is seeking an Air Export Operator for a well-established, growing Freight Forwarder based in Colnbrook, Berkshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Contact shippers and arrange collections.
  • Complete MAWB & HAWBs, demonstrating knowledge of country requirements, IATA rates, and airline-specific requirements such as operator variations and Promo references.
  • Negotiate with airlines to maximize margins.
  • Complete customs entries, with knowledge of complex procedure codes (IPR, BONDED, EXPORT LICENSING, etc.).
  • Provide quotations and understand market rates.
  • Maintain high customer service levels, including providing agents with updates post-flights and at departure.

Additional qualifications:

  • Dangerous Goods trained and Aviation Security trained up to level CO (Cargo Operative).
  • Ensure nothing is missed by providing a reliable safety net.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong email management and response skills.
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with external customers, agents, and internal stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in export airfreight.
  • Knowledge of customs procedures.
  • Full 5-year work reference history.
