We are seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 CRM Technical Architect for an initial 3-month contract engagement. This role is critical in translating high-level business and solution designs into technically sound, scalable, and supportable D365 CRM implementations. You’ll play a key role in shaping the delivery approach, advising on platform capabilities, and ensuring the technical solution remains aligned with Microsoft best practices and platform standards.
- Low-Level Design Creation: Translate high-level solution designs into detailed, Dynamics 365-specific low-level architecture and documentation.
- Platform Advisory: Provide expert guidance to design teams and stakeholders on Dynamics 365 CRM functionality, platform constraints, and optimal use of built-in capabilities.
- Solution Review & Governance: Offer constructive challenge to proposed solutions that are overly complex or heavily customised, ensuring that the final design stays within platform boundaries and promotes long-term sustainability.
- Data Model Alignment: Collaborate closely with the data architect to ensure solution designs are compatible with the Dataverse Common Data Model, supporting consistent and future-ready data structures.
- Simplicity & Maintainability: Promote solution simplicity by adhering to Microsoft-recommended design principles and prioritising out-of-the-box functionality to reduce cost, complexity, and support overhead.
- Best Practice Application: Draw on prior experience with similar CRM implementations to highlight best practices, demonstrate what has worked well in other environments, and ensure alignment with the latest Dynamics 365 roadmap and features.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience as a Technical Architect in Dynamics 365 CRM projects
- Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM modules and Power Platform
- Proven ability to design and document low-level technical solutions
- Experience advising stakeholders and design teams on D365 capabilities and limitations
- Familiarity with the Dataverse Common Data Model
- Ability to balance technical feasibility, cost efficiency, and maintainability
- Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform
- Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments
- Understanding of agile delivery practices
