As our business is growing and our passenger numbers are increasing, we are looking for new members to join the Landside Operations team at East Midlands airport. We seek standout talent to support our promise of delivering ‘effortless travel’ to our customers.
Candidates should have excellent customer service skills, a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and a passion for working with vehicles. The ideal candidate will be working with an established team supporting our operation with 170,000 vehicle movements and 15,000 parking spaces.
In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for:
- The movement and parking of a variety of vehicles, from small cars to luxury models like Ferraris.
- Being the voice of our landside operation, communicating with passengers at car park barriers and sharing your expertise about the Airport.
- Representing the friendly face of our meet and greet office.
- Operating our parking booking systems and specialized equipment.
- Working in all weather conditions to ensure a smooth travel experience for customers, every day.
You should be a careful and experienced driver holding a manual UK Driving License for at least 2 years, with no more than 3 penalty points. Flexibility to cover a 24/7 operation, including night shifts, early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays, is essential.
Additionally, you should:
- Enjoy working with diverse people, possess strong customer service skills, and be committed to delivering exceptional service.
- Have basic computer skills, with experience in computer use necessary.
- Be prepared to work flexibly outdoors in all weather conditions, as part of a 24-hour operation.
- Have a passion for cars, understanding the importance of vehicle care, and be comfortable driving both manual and automatic cars.
We offer a permanent annualized hours contract, paying for 21 hours weekly. During peak times, additional hours may be worked; during quieter periods, fewer hours, but pay remains based on 21 hours weekly. For example, in summer, you may work 31 hours but still receive pay for 21 hours; in winter, hours may reduce, but the pay remains consistent.
You must be flexible to work on a 24/7 schedule, including night shifts, early mornings (starting as early as 03:00), late shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
