Position: Warehouse Operative (Order Distributor)
Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)
Location: Bicester - HM Prison Bullingdon
Salary: £12,480.00 per annum or £15 per hour
Shift Pattern: Thursday and Friday, 8 hours a day, plus rotational cover at HM Prison Huntercombe (RG9 5SB)
Note: The role is based within a Prison. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process.
About the Role
HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. At DHL, our role is to manage the picking, packing, and distribution of these orders. This position offers diverse daily tasks and plays an important role in supporting prisoner rehabilitation. You will work with a diverse team to ensure timely and accurate order distribution within the prison environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Distribute orders on the prison wing accurately and promptly to inmates
- Load and unload vehicles when orders arrive at the prison
- Ensure compliance with prison rules and regulations
Candidate Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a prison environment alongside inmates
- Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting tasks
- Good communication skills at all levels
- Current UK address history for the past 3 years (mandatory for Enhanced Security Clearance)
