As a Terminal Operator, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our rail freight terminal. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of rail cargo, ensuring that all procedures comply with industry standards and company policies. What does the job involve?
- You will carry out a variety of duties including:
- Onsite HGV Shunting
- Crane Operations β full training will be provided on this
- Load and unload rail wagons, road vehicles and intermodal units as required in accordance with laid down instructions.
- PC and Systems updating on a daily basis
Key Skills (Essential/Desirable Skills)
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:
- Class 1 HGV licence
- Desirable skills and experience
- Overhead gantry crane experience
- Rail β Trackside safety training
- Experience with rail shunting
- Experience of working with Heavy Machinery a distinct advantage
Whatβs on Offer?
For the successful candidate:
- Five over seven shift pattern, rotating over days/backs and nights (40hr p.w)
- Shifts are generally (but not limited to) 0600 to 1430, 0930 to 1800, 1400-2230 and 2200-0630.
