An exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Child Health & Disability Team with Rhondda Cynon Taff Childrens Services. This is an ongoing opportunity.
The team is currently operating on a mixed – working from home, agile and within local office space in Pontypridd.
The main duties of the post holder will be:
- Working alongside a multi-agency team of professionals, in partnership with families
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective systems to ensure quality services
- Complete Wellbeing Assessments, child protection enquiry and develop and review care and support plans
- Working in a multiagency capacity to support families
- Attendance at Child Protection Conferences, Children who are Looked After Review and Court may be required
- Provide specialist advice and support across the wider children’s services team in respect to children with additional needs
- Participate in the team duty rota
- Participate in regular team meetings
- Demonstrate a high level of good quality written and verbal practice
- Provide peer support to newly qualified social worker
To apply for this role, you will need to hold:
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Experience of working within a Child Health & Disability Team
- Experience of working as part of multi-disciplinary team around children
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving license with access to a car
