We are looking for a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our growing team of experienced and newly qualified makers making a wide variety of the highest quality, bespoke furniture, kitchens and interiors in our new workshop in rural Dorset. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking and joinery, with the ability to fabricate high-quality cabinets and furniture. This role requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure precision in all aspects of the work.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately fabricate and assemble cabinets and furniture according to specifications and design plans.
• Use machinery, power tools and hand tools effectively to cut, shape, and finish wood materials.
• Ensure precision at every stage of manufacture and check that all components are plumb and level during assembly.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for moving materials and completed products.
• Apply finishes cleanly and carefully to achieve exceptional aesthetic quality.
• Collaborate with other carpenters and joiners on larger projects, ensuring seamless integration of components.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations and contributing to the day-to-day running and maintenance of the workshop including the upkeep of vehicles and staff facilities.
• Proven track record as a Cabinet Maker or similar role in woodworking or carpentry.
• Evidence of proficiency in using various power tools, hand tools, and machinery related to cabinet making.
• Strong skills in joinery techniques, with an understanding of a wide range of fabrication processes.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
• Attention to precise detail with a commitment to producing the highest quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Able to communicate effectively and be prepared to share ideas and listen to the ideas of others.
• Able to travel daily to and from our rural workshop.
• Provide evidence that you have the right to work in the UK.

Desirable though not essential:

• Minimum Level 2 qualification in a discipline related to furniture making
• Experience of CAD/CAM and CNC router
• Experience fitting furniture and / or kitchens on site
• Driving license (manual vehicles)
• Fork lift license
