The Role:
This opportunity is for an Instrumentation Engineer to join our technical team. You would work within the Instrumentation team primarily supporting delivery of maritime-based projects in QinetiQ's facilities. This will include installing instrumentation into large-scale model boats and submarines, developing new/novel instrumentation systems to capture trial's data and other associated activities.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Provide instrumentation support to the Haslar's facilities and other facilities used by the team through leading instrumentation tasks and activities
- Support technical assurance activities for work undertaken by the instrumentation team for production and facilities
- Support the maintenance of electrical + electronic equipment
- Deliver the strategy for developing and maintaining the instrumentation and software used within the model testing capability
- Liaise with other parts of the delivery team to ensure the timely delivery of instrumentation support for trials
- Manage and deliver the design, build and testing of bespoke instrumentation equipment
You must have obtained or be predicted 5 x GCSE's Grade's 5 - 9 must include Maths, Science and 3 other subjects.
