Starting salary to £25,000 per annum, plus fully funded study package, pension, and more! Office based, Sunningdale, Ascot.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Starting salary to £25,000 for a recent/soon to be graduate (or £18k for a school/college leaver); in all cases salary increases with examinations passed, experience and responsibilities.
  • 31 days annual leave including bank holidays and additional days with length of service.
  • Full study package (worth around £8,000 for AAT and £20k for ACCA or ACA) including professional study fees and training courses, books, membership fees and provision of sufficient study time alongside relevant job-related work experience.
  • Core hours 9am to 5pm, 1 hour for lunch daily.
  • Start date immediate or, dependent on your availability.

A long established, forward thinking, independent firm of Chartered Accountants, acting for 400+ clients ranging from high-net-worth individuals to large corporations is now looking to appoint a further trainee accountant. Suited to those interested in studying for a professional accounting qualification; a perfect opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in general practice, earning whilst learning (fully funded study package and study leave) in an exceptional environment.

The Role:

Develop your accounting skills whilst playing a vital role in our Accounts, Audit, Tax and Bookkeeping departments. You will be fully sponsored through your studies at college for either (as appropriate) the ACA or ACCA or AAT courses and exams, and you will be mentored throughout your training, helping you to achieve your full potential.

Key tasks will include:

  • Bookkeeping - using various software such as Xero and Sage
  • VAT returns - preparation and submission to HMRC
  • Personal tax returns, preparation and submission to HMRC
  • Accounts preparation for sole traders and limited companies
  • Assisting the Audit manager with various audit related tasks
  • Dealing with client queries

Key applicant requirements:

  • Good G.C.S.E. and A Level results for AAT, and/or degree education for ACA or ACCA position
  • Good mathematical ability
  • Accurate and keen eye for detail
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong IT skills
  • Good time management and the ability to balance work alongside college studies
