This charity is an independent philanthropic organisation specialising in providing basic and essential human rights to vulnerable people in a number of different countries. Headquartered in London, it takes a hands-on approach to developing and implementing measures to improve the welfare of the people it exists to support. It works with partners to seek to be the gold standard in grant making and charitable operations.

About the Opportunity

A unique opportunity now exists for a paralegal to join the legal team. In this role, you will assist with contract drafting (particularly grants contracts) and negotiations as well as support in matters relating to governance, legal documentation and due diligence. You will also assist with ad hoc legal advice and carry out legal research. You will assist with improving processes and in making the organisation as a whole aware of the importance of legal issues, always upholding the values of the organisation.

About You

The role requires a paralegal with corporate or commercial contracts experience, with any not-for-profit and/or grants contracts experience being highly regarded. A background as a corporate paralegal would be useful, although a general commercial, regulatory or investment funds paralegal background would also be considered. Experience in or a keen interest in working for a not-for-profit organisation is also essential. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be willing to learn and be able to demonstrate initiative.
