We are seeking an experienced school leader with knowledge and experience in developing Trauma-Informed Attachment Aware Practice within educational settings. You will lead the delivery and expansion of our TIAAS School Lead Practitioners.
You will work within a passionate team dedicated to supporting and improving education for children and young people in Birmingham, especially those affected by adverse childhood experiences and trauma. Birmingham's Virtual School operates within the Children and Families Directorate and collaborates with the Birmingham Educational Psychology Service on TIAAS training and accreditation.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, promote, and ensure effective delivery of Birmingham Virtual School's statutory responsibilities related to attachment theory and childhood trauma.
- Oversee and coordinate school support for Trauma-Informed and Attachment Aware Schools through recruitment, training, and line management of lead practitioners.
- Manage partner delivery for TIAAS as outlined in the service level agreement with the Birmingham Education Psychology Service.
- Visit schools to share best practices and provide support to school leaders engaged in TIAAS.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the TIAAS programme and lead practitioner support, making necessary adjustments.
- Line manage seconded School TIAAS Lead practitioners.
