Machine Setter

• Primarily a day shift role with an early finish on Fridays. Night shifts are required approximately every 6 weeks, so flexibility is needed.

Salary: c£16.35 per hour basic, with total earning potential of approximately £35,000 to £38,000 per annum including all allowances. Benefits include 25 holiday days plus bank holidays, a discretionary annual bonus based on company performance, a pension scheme with 5% employer contributions, and a death-in-service payment of 4x salary.

This Machine Setter role would suit:

• An experienced Machine Setter or Minder familiar with CNC machinery or spring manufacturing processes.

• Experience in spring making is highly relevant.

• Previous experience in an engineering environment, with an eye for detail and quality.

• Mechanically minded with good manual dexterity skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Set and reset Dual Point coiling machines with CNC controls.

• Adjust machines to maintain quality standards.

• Measure components using dedicated software, monitor, and record production quality.

• Adjust and replace tooling as needed.

• Develop new spring manufacturing processes for high-volume production.
