CGS is excited to announce the launch of the 2025 Glass Sellers’ Graduate Prize and New Graduate Review. This prestigious competition aims to support graduates embarking on their journey in glassmaking.

Thanks to the generosity of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers of London Charity Fund, Professor Michael Barnes MC FRCP, and our sponsors – Creative Glass, Pearsons Glass, Warm Glass, and Neues Glas – New Glass: Art & Architecture, we offer an opportunity for new glass graduates to showcase their talent globally.

Why Enter?

  • Worldwide Exposure: Your work will be featured in the Glass Sellers’ CGS – New Graduate Review 2025, reaching a global audience of industry professionals and enthusiasts. The 16-page publication will be circulated extensively to colleges, museums, and CGS members, and will appear in Neues Glas - New Glass: Art & Architecture, distributed worldwide in November 2025.
  • Prizes: Winner, Second Prize, Two Runners-up Prizes, and several Commendations.
  • Career Support: The Graduate Review provides a platform to kick-start your career, with many previous winners becoming respected professional glassmakers.

How to Enter:

Submit your best work via the Graduate Review 2025 digital form on CuratorSpace.

Eligibility:

  • Graduating from a European accredited course in 2025.
  • Work must contain at least 50% glass.
  • Completed degree or training within the past year.
  • Be a CGS Member (student membership is available).

Note: European accredited courses are based in countries recognized by the UN as European, including Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Vatican City, UK, and others.

Selection Criteria:

  • Graduating from an accredited course in 2025 from the listed countries.
  • Work must be at least 50% glass.
  • Judged on quality and concept.
  • A panel of experts will select winners. Results will be announced in August 2024, with all featured in the November 2025 review.

Prizes:

  • First Prize: £150 vouchers from Creative Glass UK, feature in the New Graduate Review, two-year CGS Membership, a subscription to Neues Glas magazine, and glass-related books from Alan J Poole.
  • Second Prize: £100 voucher from Warm Glass, subscription to Neues Glas, and one-year CGS Membership.
  • Runners-up: Two recipients receive £50 vouchers from Pearsons Glass, subscription to Neues Glas, and one-year CGS Membership.

There will be an online exhibition on the CGS website showcasing all work in the 2025 review. Thanks to all sponsors supporting this initiative.
