What awaits you? As the Maintenance Technician, your main responsibilities will include providing hands-on technical support to resolve quality, efficiency, and complex problems. You will demonstrate competence in fault finding on electrical systems, interrogate electrical schematics, and cable references. Part of your role will be to ensure customer quality and reduce equipment downtime by proactively identifying and remedying potential malfunctions before they occur. Your goal will be to minimize impact on production demand by managing and reducing all non-conforming materials, ensuring maintenance and facility targets are met. You will demonstrate mechanical understanding for fault diagnosis, setup, referencing, and understanding of gauge systems and their maintenance. You will identify and rectify faults in machinery, equipment, and processes to ensure efficient problem resolution. Use Health and Safety systems and equipment to record breakdowns, complete material searches, and process warranty returns.
What should you bring along? Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline. Minimum of a Technical apprenticeship in Electrical or Electrical and Mechanical disciplines. Previous experience in production maintenance repairs and/or demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes. Ideally, experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with high-volume production machinery. Knowledge of machinery, technical/electrical/mechanical systems, as well as PSS and SAP data recording is preferable.
