The Communications Assistant supports the management and delivery of all internal and external communications for the project alongside the Communications Manager and in close consultation with the client communications team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage regular communication of Project information to the team such as periodic updates, posters on all noticeboards throughout the office and site and quarterly project newsletter, circulated to all internal project members and supply chain, and designated stakeholders listing.
- Creation of project resources including posters, leaflets, booklets, logos supporting project campaigns/initiatives.
- Support and maintain Project Communications standards i.e. Project branding and signature footnotes, PowerPoint presentation templates and electronic branding.
- Support and maintain Project Communications supporting information such as the Project Handbook and the Project Induction pack.
- Support in the production of producing external communications materials such as social media posts, press releases etc. Ensuring that all communications to third parties and media such as the press are discussed and approved by the client Communications team first.
- Support in the production and facilitation of regular project town hall updates.
- Support the preparation and planning of presentations, conferences, and other communications events; including the establishment of relevant supporting material where required.
- Support the design, content and strategy for Platform (the internal project web-platform).
- Manage feedback from the Project team through surveys, report insights to Leadership team and assist with improvement action planning.
- Support crisis communications as and when required.
- Support in the management of regular site photography and videography as per the client's requirements.
- Support the management of the project apprentice programme in close collaboration with Project Services and the Skills, Employment and Education Lead.
- Support the project Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) workstream in support of the wider Communications/EDI function.
