Responsibilities
- Producing end-to-end fiber optic networks.
- Testing and troubleshooting the continuity of fiber optic networks.
- Operating testing equipment and resolving common fiber optic network challenges.
- Prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, Commscope, Corning, etc.
- Utilizing fusion splicers and test equipment like OTDR, Power meters, and others.
- Applying knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, and understanding light levels and dB loss.
- Working in outdoor utility construction sites.
Qualifications
- Safety-conscious with a high standard of work quality.
- Experience with fiber and coax splicing preferred.
- Experience with optical nodes provisioning and turn-up preferred.
- Problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Seeking long-term projects.
- Enjoy teamwork and getting hands dirty.
- At least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience.
- Comfortable working on ladders or bucket trucks.
- Flexible with shifts and overtime.
