Position: Program Buyer
Location: Coventry
Contract Type: Permanent
Reports to: Program Purchasing Manager
Mission: Manage sourcing activities for current and new programs and support annual cost-down initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate sourcing activities and RFQs for programs
- Maintain BOM cost tracking and sourcing calendars
- Ensure smooth communication between engineering, program, and purchasing teams
- Support supplier management, cost savings, and purchasing reports
- Assist with contract negotiations, PPAP, and material tracking
- Work with logistics to improve packaging and freight costs
Requirements:
- 2+ years of purchasing or similar experience
- Strong MS Office skills
- Fluent in English (second European language is a plus)
- Degree in business, engineering, or equivalent experience
- CIPS preferred
- Willingness to travel in the UK
