Child Friendly Medway is seeking to appoint an Engagement Officer to support our initiatives. The role involves engaging with children, young people, families, and community partners to capture their voices and involve them in local decision-making.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Leading delivery of Seeing is Believing events and activities for children and families.
  • Facilitating focus groups, public talks, and school assemblies to encourage engagement.
  • Supporting administrative tasks such as event planning, finance, funding bids, data collection, and social media management.

This is a fixed-term role based at Medway Council’s Gun Wharf office, involving community face-to-face work, with evening and weekend hours as needed. Applicants should demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, and ideas for improving outcomes for children and young people in Medway.

The role requires an Enhanced DBS check. Interviews are scheduled for 10 June 2025. The position is aligned with the Career Progression Framework (CPF), which offers levels A, B, and C, based on experience and competencies.
