Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for planning, logistics, and continuous improvement? We’re looking for a Production Planning Specialist to work as a Hands-on Materials Manager, leading the planning and logistics operations and a small team of 4. In this pivotal role, you’ll align production schedules with supply chain capabilities, manage inventory levels, and drive cost-effective, on-time delivery to customers. With a focus on operational excellence, you’ll support initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Deliver:

  • 3 months - Fine-tune the daily planning process
  • 3-6 months - Turn your attention to capacity planning
  • 6-12 months - Identify and implement planning software to enhance the ERP system
  • 12 months & beyond - Develop the team, step up within the organisation

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in planning, logistics, and inventory management for a batch manufacturing environment
  • Ability to plan complex 'made to order' mini projects, anywhere between 60-100
  • ERP/MRP systems proficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and team leadership experience
  • A drive for continuous improvement and cost optimisation
  • NVQ Level 5+ preferred; CPIM/CLTD a plus
