Role & Purpose:
The Mobile Cosmetic Paint Technician is a member of the Mobile Operations team and reports to the Smart Operations Manager. They are responsible for the refinish of paintwork, including wheels, on vehicles at our Dealership sites. This includes preparation through to completion, ensuring a high standard of repair. The technician works from state-of-the-art Mobile facilities based in the West Country, covering Dealerships and surrounding areas including Plymouth, Exeter, Paignton & Honiton.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure correct paint repair on damaged vehicles.
- Select appropriate paint and perform necessary preparation before painting.
- Maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure good working order; report any defects.
- Follow job card instructions regarding re-painting.
- Use PPE and safety measures to ensure safe working conditions.
- Supervise team members as needed.
- Report issues to the SMART Ops Manager and liaise with other departments.
- Manage workflow efficiently.
- Carry out basic vehicle appraisals and costings.
- Discuss repair requirements with Dealerships.
- Document all repairs on Auto Pad.
Skills & Competencies:
- Experience preparing cars for painting through to refinishing.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
