Job Purpose: This is a key position, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations within a specified region. The role involves maintaining electrical, mechanical, and building assets within ASDA stores efficiently and in compliance with health and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the company professionally and develop good relationships with colleagues.
- Complete all necessary PPMs and ensure all remedial tasks are logged and actioned, ensuring legal compliance.
- Supervise and support the Maintenance Assistant, providing coaching and ensuring role compliance.
- Respond promptly to service requests, assess requirements, and carry out repairs.
- Prioritise work to meet timescales and SLA targets.
- Communicate with store management about issues affecting store operations.
- Conduct surveys, complete reports, and carry out alterations and installations as qualified.
- Assist other MSTs when needed and recruit qualified Maintenance Assistants.
- Maintain accurate records and attend training to keep skills updated.
- Participate in Out of Hours standby rota and perform repairs during these times.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and complete all necessary documentation.
- Provide coaching and support to team members, participate in training, and manage team administration.
- Work flexibly, including at heights and with minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Skills:
Essential: C&G 2382 (18th edition), Level 3 core Electrical qualification (e.g., C&G 2330, 2365), valid driver's license.
Desirable: Electrical certification, City & Guilds 2391, relevant industry experience. Knowledge of 3-phase electrics, mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, and general building experience. Strong communication, team support, customer focus, and self-motivation skills.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to work at heights and with minimal supervision. Flexible working hours.
