My client is an accountancy practice specializing in helping owner-managed businesses achieve their goals.

Job roles and responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Production of limited company year-end accounts to trial balance stage.
  • Production of draft corporate tax returns.
  • Preparation and review of Self-Assessment tax returns, including income from property, investments, employment, and sole trades.
  • Monitoring and assisting with junior members of staff.
  • Preparation and review of client VAT returns.
  • Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients regarding compliance issues and tax enquiries.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice
  • AAT Qualified (Preferred)
  • Experience with Xero (Preferred)
  • Experienced in preparation of micro-entity and small company accounts
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients (telephone, email, and in person)

Additional Details:

  • 37.5 hours per week - 9-5 Monday to Friday.
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, plus a birthday off each year.
  • Additional days’ holiday for each year of service (capped at 5).
