About Us
We are a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality groundwork and infrastructure projects across the East Midlands and beyond. Our projects include estate roads, deep drainage, commercial civils, and infrastructure packages for residential and industrial developments. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Lincoln and take commercial lead on multiple high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of civil engineering projects from tender stage through to final account
- Oversee and manage project cost control, valuations, CVRs, and forecasting
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and variations
- Lead procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and site teams to ensure cost-effective delivery
- Mentor and support junior commercial staff
- Monitor commercial performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor role within civil engineering
- Strong background in groundworks, infrastructure, and/or highways projects
- Sound knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
- Excellent cost control, budgeting, and forecasting skills
- Proficient in measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities
- Able to work independently and take commercial ownership of multiple schemes
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- Strong IT skills and commercial reporting ability
- Full UK driving licence
