Are you a confident team leader with a passion for compliance, customer onboarding and stakeholder engagement? At NEXT, we’re looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Operations Team Leader - Compliance to join our dynamic Finance Operations team. This is a business-critical role responsible for overseeing the onboarding and ongoing risk monitoring of over 5,000 key suppliers and customers of Next. You’ll lead a dedicated team of three, ensuring that all compliance processes are completed efficiently and accurately, while working closely with our Compliance, Legal and Business teams, as well as our Strategic Suppliers. Please note this is an office based role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and developing a high-performing team responsible for the end-to-end onboarding and maintenance of our supplier and customer base.
- Taking ownership of team performance, driving continual improvement, and fostering a proactive problem-solving culture.
- Managing compliance workflows to ensure timely and accurate completion of due diligence checks and ongoing monitoring.
- Supporting the business by providing clear, risk-informed advice and escalating concerns when needed.
- Building strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and maintenance processes.
- Playing a key role in our upcoming ERP transition by becoming a system superuser and leading training for your team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven leadership experience with a strong track record in operational team management.
- A track record in supplier onboarding, risk management, and working within regulated environments (e.g. financial services) is a strong advantage.
- A logical, analytical mindset with the ability to interpret vetting and compliance documentation.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
