Brand consultancy and communications agency, Derris UK, is looking for a passionate self-starter to join the company as an Account Manager. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day tactical execution across a variety of consumer accounts while also learning strategic planning across a mix of clients.
The ideal candidate is a passionate self-starter with 3-4 years of relevant public relations experience working across industries and comfortable working on account teams with several team members.
Responsibilities- Serve as the day-to-day tactical lead for your clients, including both internally and externally.
- Support senior leadership in executing integrated communication strategies across PR, influencer, and brand partnerships while learning strategic planning.
- Lead and manage pitching efforts across the agency in broadcast, print, and online to generate high-impact media placements meeting client objectives and KPIs.
- Take ownership of leading projects, including campaign launches, influencer partnerships, and events, while managing timelines, budgets, and results.
- Cultivate and maintain strong media relationships across sectors and proactively identify new media opportunities.
- Create media and client-facing materials, including pitches, agendas/recaps, prep docs, reports, and press releases.
- Oversee the internal management of client accounts, including press materials, databases, reports, imagery/samples, media, and social monitoring.
- Research social media influencers and assist with managing gifting programmes and campaign initiatives.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, media shifts, competitor activity, and relevant news to keep clients and teams informed.
- Conduct research across media, competitor, and event landscapes.
- Manage junior team members and work with senior teams to develop management skills.
- Support the senior team with research and ideas for strategy brainstorms, new business, and partnerships.
- Adhere to deadlines and deliver work on time within a fast-paced environment.
- 3-4 years of Public Relations experience, agency experience preferred.
- Strong relationship-building experience with media and clients across industries.
- Ability to develop communication strategies and deliver tangible results.
- Experience managing client relationships confidently and professionally.
- Self-motivated and ambitious with the ability to work independently.
