About the Role

The Optical Assistant will work alongside the clinical team to support the daily operations of eye care clinics, perform diagnostic examinations, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in pre- and post-operative clinical procedures
  • Serve as theatre runner/escort, ensuring patient safety and supporting the surgical team
  • Support patients throughout their journey and report concerns
  • Check and prepare equipment for use
  • Prepare clinical areas before procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of patient care
