About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Strategic Planning & Project Team! You will make an impact on brand change redesigns, innovations, cost reduction initiatives, Pack Sustainability, and Capex. You will be the gatekeeper of change at the site; collaborating closely with our Technical Centre on the assessment of new materials, specifications, and suppliers, conducting comprehensive trials on all new material changes to ensure no impact on performance, carrying out robust and clear trial reporting and sign off and developing project risk assessments / mitigations and action plans.

You must have the confidence to challenge when vital and although no direct line reporting, mentor and influencing skills must be proven in addition to resilience - as the role will involve the engagement of multifunctional departments to find the best, most robust solutions.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about their work and has hands-on experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment, particularly with a solid understanding of packaging materials and equipment. While experience in operations or technical roles is preferred, suitable manufacturing experience will also be considered.

Proactive structured problem-solving skills acquired through exposure to DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, or Manufacturing Excellence are essential. Additionally, a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing techniques and terminology is preferred.

Effective communication skills are essential, as you’ll need to confidently engage in challenging conversations with various internal and external partners. You should also demonstrate the ability to influence key stakeholders at multiple levels within and outside the organization.

While qualifications such as NEBOSH or any relevant industry/packaging/sustainability certifications would be beneficial, they are not essential for this role.

Working with Us

Join us and you can also expect a highly competitive and flexible rewards and compensation package including:

  • Competitive base salary and bonus scheme
  • Contemporary work life balance policies and wellbeing activities
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Comprehensive health insurance
  • Share options
