Day to Day
- You will be responsible for developing and growing Enterprise business customers.
- Account Executives plan and engage with prospects, customers, and new leads to sell the entire Tableau platform.
- They build positive, trusted relationships with key team members and C-suite decision makers, helping customers realize value from their Salesforce investments, especially in analytics.
- Your skills will be used to develop opportunities through warm leads, existing customers, and whitespace prospecting:
- Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect, and assess sales opportunities, moving multiple transactions through the sales pipeline.
- Engage with the partner network across the global ecosystem.
- Build key customer stakeholder relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the overall long-term strategy for the account, aligned with customer business objectives.
- Coordinate internal resources, including product support, customer success, and sales engineering, to meet customer needs.
- Assist with account planning at assigned accounts, working with other sales resources to ensure strategic alignment.
- Manage complex sales cycles and present the value proposition of Tableau to C-level executives.
- Define and execute territory and account sales plans, meeting and exceeding sales quotas through prospecting, qualifying, and closing opportunities.
Required Experience
- Quota-carrying software or technology sales and account management experience; passion for data & analytics technology is a plus.
- Ability to work well within a team of various partners in a matrixed environment.
- Highly motivated with a focus on execution, urgency, and alignment with Tableau’s mission.
- Strong business curiosity combined with technical ability to address customer data challenges and build trust.
- Solution selling approach: developing plans and solutions, articulating value, and navigating customer complexities to drive revenue.
- Experience will be evaluated based on skills used daily in the role, including extracurricular leadership, military, volunteer roles, or work experience.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in software sales or technical sales (e.g., SaaS).
- Experience with analytics, data, databases, cloud, predictive modeling, or business intelligence.
