Do you have a degree? Have you worked in the affordable housing sector in development or regeneration, buying land or delivering new homes? Would you like to be supported through the APC process to become a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer? We need passionate individuals about affordable housing to join our Valuation team to complete red book and desktop valuations, provide development consultancy advice, and complete development appraisals. While affordable housing valuers are niche and in short supply, we can teach you what you need to know to become qualified. We value candidates with a thorough understanding of the affordable housing market and familiarity with appraisals.

As part of our growing team at WSP GL Hearn, you\’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across the country, collaborating with different Directors and building relationships with clients and internal teams. You\’ll also promote our Housing, Viability, and Regeneration services.

Potential projects include:

• Advising a government department on the viability of major housing developments in London;
• Providing a red book valuation for land purchase in the southeast for 32 affordable homes;
• Updating a red book report to support the disposal of shared ownership homes;
• Producing a market review report for town center regeneration in the West Midlands.

You will be based in our Chancery Lane office, centrally located with excellent transport links.

What we are looking for…

• Eligibility for registration as a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer;
• Experience in affordable housing, development, or regeneration;
• Experience with financial appraisal models such as Pamwin, Proval, or Podplan;
• Enthusiasm to work on diverse projects within the Valuation team and the wider business;
• A willingness to collaborate with the Director to grow our Housing, Viability, and Regeneration offerings and your skills for career progression.
