A specialist building performance engineering team based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Building Physics Consultant to join them on a range of projects across the UK. You\’ll be working across a variety of sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, and residential, contributing to the environmental design of buildings including mechanical and electrical systems, lighting design, low-zero carbon technology, or environmental design of buildings.

The key responsibilities of this Building Physics Consultant role include:

1. Carrying out energy modelling and building simulations.
2. Establishing Part L Compliance, CIBSE TM59/52 & AD O Compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM54 Operational Energy, SAP Assessments.
3. Writing and delivering reports to clients.
4. Contributing to business development.

Requirements to be considered for this Building Physics Consultant role:

1. Experience using Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES VE) building simulation software (Model IT, ApacheSim, VistaPro, MacroFlo, VE Compliance).
2. Experience with Part L compliance, EPCs, CIBSE TM59/52 Overheating Analysis.
3. Demonstrable building physics experience in energy modelling and building simulation.
4. Knowledge of UK building regulations, energy codes, and planning requirements.
5. (Ideally) IES Accreditation and/or OCDEA/LCC/LCEA qualifications.
6. A degree in building physics or a similar relevant subject.
7. Live in or committable to Manchester.
