The DevSecOps Lead is a key member of the CISO team, responsible for delivering functional strategies while embodying the Post Office behaviours and prioritising a Postmaster-first mindset. The DevSecOps Lead will develop and improve POL's DevSecOps framework to ensure security practices are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. They will collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to embed this framework across POL, establishing metrics and KPIs to demonstrate its benefits. They will foster a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance within their teams, influencing delivery and decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven leadership skills with excellent influencing and communication abilities to effectively deliver messages and drive outcomes.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders.
- Degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as GIAC, CISSP, or cloud security certifications are desirable.
- Experience in a DevSecOps, Security Engineering, or related role.
- Deep knowledge of DevOps, security principles, practices, tools, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK), containerization, and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and modern programming languages (e.g., C#, Java, C++, Go).
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR).
