Working with a leading national brand in their search for a Head of IT to lead their projects and implementations as well as manage offshore 3rd party resource. This is a permanent role, based in Birmingham 2-3 days a week on site with the rest from home paying £80-£90,000 + benefits.
Role Purpose
- Drive transformational change through the business enabled by appropriate systems and processes.
- Provide senior strategic leadership, direction, and management of the IT function whilst working closely on the projects.
- Develop the IT Strategy alongside the delivery of a transformational business change project.
- Plan and deliver IT solutions to the business.
- Develop and deploy a suite of high quality and robust IT operational services and solutions.
- Manage key stakeholder and external supplier relationships for the benefit and delivery of IT services, delivered through visible KPI metrics.
Key Skills, Experience and Knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team leadership, including understanding how to create a strong, effective, and professional IT team.
- Understanding of ERP, MRP, MES systems, within manufacturing (advantageous).
- Understanding of modern technologies and processes covering the spectrum of IT activities required to operate a processing/manufacturing business efficiently, including e-commerce and digital strategies for B2B and B2C channels.
- Experience of effective senior leadership and the management of a hybrid internal and outsourced IT services.
- Experience of running a multi-function, multi-year transformational change project enabled by IT systems and processes.
- Demonstrable track record of strategy development and deployment.
- Ability to build strong relationships based on integrity, trust, and respected judgement.
- Strong influencing skills at both board and senior management level.
- Flexible with the ability to prioritise effectively and to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise independent professional judgement within an overall business context.
- Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables.
