CRS are currently assisting our client, a premium provider of lifting equipment solutions, in sourcing a full time permanent Lifting Equipment Engineer / Inspector to join the depot due to continued growth and business. Specialising in supplying high-quality lifting equipment to businesses across a wide range of industries, from construction to manufacturing, oil and gas to mining.

The successful candidate will be required to carry out the test, repair and inspection of various lifting equipment and accessories to LOLER standards within company and client sites. Ideally be LEEA qualified or hold sufficient relevant previous experience. You will also have a thorough understanding of LOLER and be confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

A company van and fuel card will be provided, along with a competitive salary and benefit package.

Lifting Equipment Engineer duties:
  • Carry out a thorough examination of a wide range of lifting & manual handling equipment and accessories on client sites and the company’s workshop ensuring the equipment complies with the relevant industry standards.
  • Produce a clear and concise report detailing all equipment examined.
  • Carry out risk assessments and method statements as required.
  • Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to Company processes/procedures.
Lifting Equipment Engineer qualifications:
  • LEEA Foundation / Entry certification or sufficient previous experience within the Lifting / Inspection Industry.
  • Thorough examination is desired but not essential to be considered.
  • Previous experience in writing accurate and concise reports.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Programmes.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Advanced LEEA qualifications are desirable such as Lifting Machines Manual / Power, but not essential.
