Access Talent Group has partnered with an SME Geotechnical, Structural and Geosciences consultancy to support their Geotechnical Engineering team expansion. Our client has multiple offices located across Europe, with the majority of their team based in Central London. Due to continued success and new contracts being awarded in Australia, the UK, and Europe, our client is looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to their Birmingham and/or London office.
Our client specializes in large scale infrastructure projects but is also expanding into the energy and construction markets. The successful candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and get involved from day one on legacy projects, as well as new design schemes for large scale infrastructure programmes.
Our client is looking for candidates who can contribute to all levels of the design process for rail, highways, and tunnelling contracts across Europe and the UK, as well as potentially Australia, while also learning on the fly to build commercial awareness and knowledge so that you can gain the required experience to progress up the ladder. This role will require a small amount of travel from time to time, visiting client offices and project sites which will give you the commercial and client-facing experience that proves vital to career progress.
To qualify for this role, candidates must have:
- Right to live and work in the UK
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or similar
- Strong Plaxis 2D/3D experience; WALLAP is also a bonus
- Achieved Chartered Engineer status or be close to doing so
- Experience in Geotechnical Infrastructure projects such as HS2, Smart Motorway, or new motorway schemes, as well as other complex schemes.
