Aerovac Med-Lab is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our Petrochemical team as a Field Service Technician. In this role, you will play a vital part in our customer-focused team, providing technical support and ensuring the delivery and maintenance of exceptional customer service to our clients across the UK and Europe.

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and maintenance services for a range of analytical lab instruments used in the testing and verification of aviation fuels, flavours, and fragrances. This role involves travelling throughout the UK and Europe to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of these crucial instruments. This would be the perfect opportunity for someone with a laboratory or engineering background who wants a new challenge.
Responsibilities:- Calibrate, install and commission scientific instruments at customer sites across the UK and Europe.
- Plan and execute customer visits in the UK and overseas.
- Split time between supporting onsite laboratory calibrations and service in the field.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Provide on-site training and support to customers on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instruments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, admin, and technical support.
- Document service activities, including maintenance reports, service records, calibration certificates, and customer communication.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Experience in an Engineering or Chemistry related environment.
- Experience with electronics in analytical instruments would be desirable.
- Strong "hands-on" skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair lab instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Language skills would be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe and occasionally to the US for manufacturer training.
- A driving license is essential for this role.
