We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Domestic Supervisor to join the Team at The Royal Liverpool Hospital. You will have a good knowledge of the National Standards of Cleanliness 2021, COSHH, and Infection Prevention & Control procedures. Effective IT, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Knowledge and experience of supervising a cleaning service, the ability to work under pressure, and the capability to work as part of a team using your initiative are required. Flexibility is also necessary to meet the demands of the service and to motivate the team. Supervisory experience is essential for this role.
Hours: 1 x 20 hours, 1 x 25 hours, and 1 x 30 hours positions working a rolling rota to include early, late, and weekend shifts, which will also include working Bank Holidays.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and supervising the cleaning team to maintain and monitor the National Standards of Cleanliness 2021.
- Arranging cover for absences and facilitating adjustments to work schedules in light of daily requirements.
- Ensuring all staff are working to trust policies and are properly instructed and trained in the use of standard operating methods, equipment, and techniques required to provide a clean and safe environment.
- Supervising the performance of staff within the team to ensure adherence to approved standard operating procedures.
- Conducting regular quality control checks and undertaking remedial actions where necessary.
- Liaising with service users and local managers over any issues that may interfere with correct service delivery.
- Completing departmental control procedures covering the use of consumables and staff deployment.
- Conducting staff interviews, including appraisal, sickness, bereavement, discipline, and grievance.
- Demonstrating leadership at all times and acting as a role model to motivate subordinate staff.
The post-holder will support the management team for Domestic Services at the Trust.
