Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Immunisation Team is responsible for the delivery of the national school-based vaccination programme which includes Influenza, HPV, and Teenage booster along with the opportunistic offer of MMR vaccinations. We deliver this service across Birmingham and Solihull. The service also delivers the neonatal Hepatitis B vaccination programme.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated Band 3 Immunisation Team Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be a primary point of contact for liaison within the clinical team, giving information and guidance to patients, carers, relatives, and staff, appropriate to the role. They will work closely with neonatal services, supporting the management of referrals for the neonatal hepatitis B vaccination programme. They will be required to work on their own initiative and organise their own workload without direct supervision on a daily basis to ensure deadlines are met.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Administrator undertaking a comprehensive range of administrative duties, being responsible for the maintenance and updating of efficient filing systems. To provide comprehensive administrative support to the School age immunisation team including preparing letters, minutes of meetings, and other documentation. Implement and maintain central filing systems for patient records and patient information. Undertake office duties such as photocopying and replenishing information as required. Answer non-clinical queries from clients and their relatives seeking advice. Liaise with partners to promote immunisation uptake across the area including booking of immunisation sessions/clinics.
