Synechron is seeking a Senior Murex Front Office Business Analyst to support production for a tier-1 Japanese Bank. Join an experienced and supportive team to play a crucial role in optimizing our client's Murex platform on a multi-year contract. You will work closely with front office users, developing a deep understanding of the Murex system to deliver robust, innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and profitability.
Required experience includes P&L, simulations, risk views, generators, and curves. The role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with business users, vendors, and traders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with FO users to manage, resolve, and understand system issues.
- Individually resolve issues, create, and deliver solutions.
- Analyze and resolve issues related to system configuration, P&L, simulation views, static data, GOM, market data, market operations, EOD, pre-trade, etc.
- Liaise with technical and support teams and the Murex vendor as needed.
- Escalate issues or risks appropriately.
- Provide detailed issue reports to the vendor and coordinate testing of fixes or solutions.
- Act as an intermediary between business and vendor.
- Perform routine administrative and technical tasks to maintain the system.
- Work on small BAU projects to extend functionality and enhancements, familiar with SDLC.
- Assist with system configuration, user groups, access rights, portfolios, etc.
- Train business users and support adaptation to the Murex environment.
- Prepare and send status reports to IT and Business managers.
- Ensure documentation and deliverables meet standards.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Murex certifications or relevant training.
- Over 6 years of in-depth FO Murex experience.
- Product knowledge (rates, commodities, FX).
- Deal booking, pricing, events, e-tradepad & simulation issues.
- Ability to analyze market data issues, maturity sets, fixings, instrument configuration, P&L issues, payments, etc.
- Configuration and static data setup for portfolios, counterparties, products, mappings.
- Understanding of Murex screens OSP; ability to debug/analyze trade issues, reporting, interfaces.
- Experience in system configuration, P&L analysis, simulation views, static data, GOM, market data, market operations, EOD, pre-trade, and other FO areas.
- Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools.
- Experience with Jira and Agile SDLC.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
This is a multi-year contract role within the Synechron SI Practice, based at the city office (4 days in-office). Competitive market rates.
