Our client is recruiting for a Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant to join their team. Whilst this is an office-based role, our flexible working options allow you to work around your family and lifestyle. Our flexi-time scheme allows you to choose the hours you work and when you work. In addition to this, our team works on a hybrid basis, allowing you to balance your working hours between our office and your own home.
Our office is in a characterful old mill building situated beside the river Uck, yet 2 minutes walk from the bustling town centre of Uckfield. We have free parking and rail and bus stations right on our doorstep. It’s not hard to see why many of our team choose to work from our office on a daily basis.

We work hard to support each other and our clients but also know how to relax and have fun together with regular socials, team days, and takeaway Fridays.
You will be responsible for a small portfolio of clients for whom you will be completing bookkeeping, reconciling, VAT & CIS returns, and general financial admin. You will form close working relationships with our clients, communicating with them regularly. You will be working within our small team of bookkeepers with the support of our client managers.
Salary dependent upon experience. Between £24,000 - £28,000 pa for a full-time position, or pro-rata equivalent for part-time hours.
An energetic, communicative individual who enjoys sharing their love of numbers. Has a keen interest in modern digital technology. Has an organised and systematic approach with an eye for detail. Fully qualified, part qualified, or wanting to study for AAT or ICB qualifications.
