We are looking for a proactive professional to lead Bristow's Global Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) Program, integral to their industry-leading safety management. In this role, you’ll manage program procedures, monitor fleet trends, liaise with safety managers, and support investigations with flight data insights. Ideal candidates have expertise in aviation data analysis, regulatory compliance, and a keen eye for safety improvements!
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Bristow Global FDM Program, ensuring the FDM program plays an active part in the overall Safety Management System of Bristow Group, supports Global Standards, and meets the regulatory needs of the individual AOCs across the Group.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the FDM Program including:
- Producing and maintaining program procedures
- Managing event effectiveness
- Providing SME support to global standards on FDM events
- Implementing event and configuration changes
- KPI generation and reporting
- Reviewing fleet trends
- Liaising with AOC Safety Managers and providing necessary support and information to Safety Action Groups and Safety Review Boards
- Liaising with FDM Gatekeepers to ensure crew contacts/feedback are effective
- Providing Flight Data Analysis SME support to safety investigations
- Liaising with FDM software vendor to ensure changes to FDM system are managed and implemented in a timely manner
- Where appropriate, representing Bristow on external industry forums, such as HeliOffshore FDM working group
- Presentations to internal and external customers as and when required
- Provide support to AOCs for customer and regulator audits as required
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Management, Safety Management, Data Analytics or related degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Hold or have held a professional pilot licence (or military equivalent) – Ideal but not mandatory
- Previous experience of flight data analysis in aviation
- Previous flying experience advantageous
- Familiarity with system safety, data analysis and exploitation, trending, and risk management
- Knowledge of aviation regulations
