The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide 1:1 and group support for pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCo to support the educational and emotional development of students.
- Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
- Provide support both in and out of the classroom, including during lessons, playtimes, and school trips.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
About You:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with additional or special educational needs.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate (this is desirable but not essential).
