The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
Due to expansion, our longstanding insurer client is looking for a Senior Motor Trade Underwriter. It will be a mixture of new business and renewals across a select panel of brokers.
Your role:
- Profitably develop and underwrite Motor Trade Risks through a panel of brokers, with the opportunity to underwrite face to face.
- Support the commercial account by engaging and encouraging new and existing relationships with regional brokers.
- Alongside the BDMs, prospect and actively contribute to the growth targets of the team optimising sales and retention.
- Provide excellent service levels to both internal and external customers.
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of the commercial insurance and broking market.
- Provide technical assistance, take referrals and provide guidance to colleagues.
Your experience and skills:
- Experience in underwriting and trading commercial Motor Trade products.
- A detailed knowledge of the NW broker market.
- Proven relationship management skills.
- The ability to demonstrate meeting & exceeding personal and team objectives.
- Minimum Cert CII. Dip CII, or progress towards, is preferred.
- Proven effective and strong trading skills including prospecting and optimising new business and retention.
- A strong and decisive approach to underwriting.
- The ability to work independently but also as part of a team to deliver common goals.
