Role Overview: The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, overseeing accounting processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with extensive experience in accounting and a strong understanding of UK accounting standards and regulations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Managing Partner and work closely with other team members to deliver high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention. Provide expert advice on accounting, taxation, and financial matters.
- Accounting and Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements. Oversee bookkeeping and ledger maintenance activities. Conduct financial analysis and prepare management reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices in accounting and financial management. Stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on practice experience. Proven track record in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality services. Strong experience in preparing financial statements, tax returns, and conducting audits.
- Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
