Our client is a leading bank, offering a comprehensive range of banking services, including corporate, investment, and retail banking.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and manage a team of loan processing specialists to ensure efficient and accurate processing of non-traded loan transactions specifically: Check / Authorise / Deal transactions, manual entries, payments and communications, Check / Authorise static data, Check / Authorise New Loans and Safe Custody.
- Monitor and review loan requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies and procedures.
- Development of staff (including cross-training), systems and procedures.
- People Management covering day-to-day people management and assisting the Non-Traded Operations Manager with written and verbal performance appraisals.
- Review and maintain suspense accounts used within Loans Admin and ensure all suspense accounts are reconciled and reviewed monthly with aged items noted.
- Assist with the operational risk framework for Loans Admin, the resulting KRIs, and ongoing monthly monitoring and reporting of the wider operational management reporting status.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations and best practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Lead and participate in various projects related to non-traded loan operations, including system enhancements and process improvements.
- Ad hoc tasks delegated by Manager Non-Traded Operations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience in both syndications and variable rate loans.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in loan operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of loan processing and documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices in loan operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
