We’ve created a new role for a Digital Trading Manager to join our expanding digital team focusing on Wickes Solar. The main purpose of the role is to grow Wickes Solar sales by driving enquiry form submissions. You’ll do this by operating across various digital & marketing functions, focusing on driving traffic and visibility of Wickes Solar on the website and stores. You’ll work with various stakeholders, internally (Trading, Digital Marketing, CRM, DX, Social, Retail, etc.) and externally (Agencies, Solar Fast team). What you’ll be doing:
- Wickes Solar Marketing Planning - Build, budget and coordinate the Wickes Solar marketing plan to ensure delivery of activities, measure results and optimise Wickes Solar.
- Content - Ensure the content on the website is relevant and delivers the best possible informational content to give users reasons to confidently choose Wickes Solar and submit an enquiry form.
- Traffic Driving - Drive traffic by working alongside our Digital Marketing, CRM, Social, Store teams and agencies, ensuring coverage for Wickes Solar and optimisation of marketing spend.
- Reporting & Insights - Set up reporting with Analytics & Insights colleagues to report on Wickes Solar KPIs performance and surface key insights to drive improvements and change.
- Stakeholder management - Be a key marketing contact with the Solar Fast teams, especially their marketing team.
- Representation - Be the ‘voice’ of Wickes Solar Digital within the broader Digital Team, and across Marketing and Commercial teams.
What we’re looking for:
We anticipate you’ll have at least 4 years experience in marketing, digital marketing and/or eCommerce. You’ll likely be a ‘digital/marketing all-rounder’ experienced across various functions and channels, gaining a broad understanding of various KPIs (e.g. traffic, ROAS/ROI, conversion, etc.). You’ll be a self-starter who can work well to deadlines and be a confident, collaborative team player. As well as this you’ll have:
- Excellent planning skills to budget, build campaigns, present timelines, and ensure delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management – ability to build relationships and liaise with business and external stakeholders (agency management) to ensure clear understanding of dependencies, deliverables and issues/risks.
- A strategic mindset that fully understands how to deliver vs Marketing/Business requirements.
- Proactively utilize data driven insights to drive action.
- The ability to articulate performance summary and insights.
- The ability to bring people on your journey and influence.
- Experience using Google Analytics/GA4, Google Looker Studio, CMS systems & Excel.
