We are currently seeking an energetic & high performing Procurement Team Leader to join our close-knit team, located in Bayswater!
About Your Role:
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate exemplary safety practices, behaviour, commitment, and attitude.
- Team Development: Participate in the development and implementation of functional team KPIs.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead process re-engineering and SOP implementation within the department, ensuring compliance with business and group policies and procedures.
- Mentorship: Mentor, guide, and support the Procurement Team in their daily activities and professional development.
- Order Verification: Verify and validate purchase orders in line with the business delegation of authority matrix.
- Order Management: Lead supplier order management, including expediting/rescheduling, tracking DIFOT performance, and conducting supplier audits.
About You:
- To be considered for the role, you have a background in procurement leadership, excellent team management skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Strong background in developing and implementing KPIs.
- Experience with driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to re-engineer processes and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong skills in verifying and validating purchase orders.
- Proficient in supplier management, including expediting/rescheduling, managing DIFOT performance, and conducting audits.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS or equivalent).
