Applications are invited for the position of HEMS Co-Pilot with HeliService U.K. Limited. The successful candidate will join a close-knit established HEMS team operating out of a state-of-the-art heliport located next to RAF Waddington, Lincoln which is centrally located to cover the 3,500 mileΒ² area of operations. The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the longest serving Air Ambulance charities in the UK established in 1994. It is clinically regarded as one of the most advanced pre-hospital medical providers in the HEMS industry. Your profile
- Required Experience
- UK ATPL(H)/IR or CPL(H)/IR with ATPL theoretical exams
- Class 1 Medical
- 200 hours pilot-in-command of which 70 hours are as pilot-in-command of helicopters
- AW169 Type Rating
- HEMS operations
- NVIS operations
- 1000 hours total time on helicopters
The successful candidate must:
- Have the right to live and work in the UK
- Be able to pass an Enhanced DBS criminal record check
Your tasks
- Preparation of aircraft and flight documentation.
- To follow the Operations Manual and all associated policy and procedures.
- Daily flight briefings to the duty HEMS team.
- The safe conduct of CAT flights for the purpose of HEMS day/night & under NVIS.
- Maintaining strict time parameters and procedures in the interest of patients.
- Follow SOPs issued in partnership with our charity partners.
- Deliver a consistently high level of service to our customer, patients and public supporters.
- Meeting customer's supporters, ex-patients and undertaking public liaison events whilst on duty.
